Mountain bike routes in Engelberg – a look behind the scenes

Pirmin is the hard-working soul behind the trails in Engelberg. Born and bred in Engelberg, he is the trails warden and president of the Engelberg MTB club. Weighed down with tools, he makes his way to the start of one of them. He offloads his pickaxe, spade and other tools and hops onto his enduro bike.

Paul Hasler is the initiator of the Heart Route. He was on his bike for days at a time, looking for the best possible cycling around the Napf. Veloland Route No. 399 opened in spring 2018 as the «Napf Heart Loop».
