Gourmet Restaurant Regina Montium
«A true gourmet experience at an altitude of 1550 metres: The cooking is imaginative and subtle, uses only Swiss quality products, mostly organic goods, and processes about 350 different herbs from their own garden!» â Michelin Guide
The regional cuisine exclusively uses Swiss products and playfully creates flavours with long-forgotten herbs from their own garden. You can choose between an à la carte menu and a herb surprise menu with 5 or 9 courses. In addition, Swiss wines or even a mixed alcoholic beverage accompaniment are served.
THE MOUNTAIN
The name of the restaurant is derived from the Latin name for the Rigi mountain (in German «Queen of the Mountains»). The Rigi is the starting point of the regional philosophy we abide by.
THE REGION
Our immediate environment is full of treasures and potential which we are keen to highlight. Alongside our desire to formulate a unique natural experience in the gourmet restaurant, we would like to show every facet of our diverse flora and fauna.
OUR CULTURE
A key priority for our work is respect for our food, the pursuit of great pleasure and the warmth of hospitality. At the same time, we explore the cultivation of the mountain landscape and look for new edible plants that thrive here.
