Bereits seit über 40 Jahren verarbeitet Sälmi Sommer für Sommer auf der Gerschnialp 300'000 Kilo Kuhmilch und 30'000 Kilogramm Ziegenmilch von den Bauern der umliegenden Alpen zu Alpkäse. Die idyllisch unterhalb des Titlis gelegene Alp auf 1300 Metern über Meer ist einfach über einen schönen Waldweg zu Fuss oder mit der nostalgischen Standseilbahn von Engelberg her erreichbar.
