At Rigi Kulm, right next to the top station of the mountain railway, is the Rigi Kulm rental centre where you can hire items like sledges and snowshoes.
The Rigi Kulm rental centre ist open only during the official sledging operation. Please check the opening times in advance here.
The following equipment can be hired from the Rigi Kulm rental centre:
- Padded sledges
- Sledges with child seats
- Snowshoes & sticks
Prices
Sledge hire CHF 25 (of which CHF 10 is a deposit that is refunded), CHF 5.- discount after 12.30 on sledge hire
Sledge hire for schools CHF 7 (no deposit)
Snowshoe hire CHF 40 (of which CHF 20 is a deposit that is refunded)
Return
Hired equipment must be returned on the same day. Your deposit will not be refunded if the equipment is returned damaged. Return options:
- Rigi Kulm until 15.45
- Rigi Kaltbad until 16.30
- Rigi Staffel until 16.00
- Rigi Klösterli until 17.00
Clothing
Good waterproof footwear, warm clothes, gloves and a hat are recommended. (Clothing cannot be hired locally)
Opening times
The rental centre is staffed every day from 9.00 to 15.50 when the ski lifts are operating.
