The ascent from Ennetbürgen to the Honegg alone is rich in glorious views of the Engelberg mountains, the Stanserhorn, and Ennetbürgen/Buochs on Lake Lucerne. Worth a visit is the Chapel of St. Jost, which also offers magnificent views of the lake and mountains. A spacious barbecue spot awaits visitors on the Honegg.
There is a 200 m no-cycling section just beyond this place: MTB’ers are required to push their bikes here, before resuming the saddle on the Bürgenstock Resort side.
Inaugurated in 2017, the new Bürgenstock Resort benefits from a range of restaurants for hotel guests and day-trippers alike.
The walk along the Cliff Path to the lower terminus of the Hammetschwand Lift takes no more than 30 minutes and offers stunning views encompassing Lucerne and the Swiss Central Plateau.
The route descends along the Bürgenstock road. Shortly after Obbürgen, we take the left road indicating Seewligrat. On a forest road we reach the unique vantage point "Oberstöckmatt". From here we take the forest road to Stans, Grossried.
Relax on a terrace at the Hotel Palace or Bürgenstock Hotel and drink in the incredible views.
