Culinary tip

Farm shop Flühlers Eierfarm, Oberdorf

The farm shop sells homemade jams, syrups and preserves. The farm's own egg liqueur is particularly popular. There is also sweet cider and seasonal fruit such as cherries, plums, pears and apples.

Turn-by-turn directions

The starting point for this circular tour is in Buochs at the post office. We meander uphill along Schulstrasse, Frongasse and to Güterstrasse. We pass the motorway subway and turn left. On the road with solid ground we cycle leisurely towards the Buochserhorn, past the centre of Central Switzerland, through Bannwald and finally through the Buochserwald. At the highest point of the bike tour we reach the viewing point "I de Sticke" with a panoramic bench overlooking the main town of Stans, the mountains Stanserhorn, Pilatus and the Bürgenberg. After a breather, we descend on a zigzag road and past numerous farms to Büren. Once at the bottom, we follow along the Engelberger Aa to Oberdorf and then turn right to Kasernenstrasse. Passing between two hills, we reach a hill called ' There it is worth taking a short detour to the Loreto Chapel. Here the view opens up towards Lake Lucerne. Afterwards, a quiet descent back to the village centre of Buochs awaits us.
