From Illgau a steep path leads you down to the rustic village of Muotathal. The "old Chiläwäg" was repaired by retired hikers a few years ago and offers a special hiking experience. The path leads through a wild romantic forest and past a waterfall. And at the very end, on the Muota dam, a pack of huskies is waiting to be stroked at the Husky Lodge cabin hotel.

In the idyllic mountain village of Illgau at 800 m above sea level, a signpost above the village centre shows you the path towards Muotathal. Behind the gravel dump you first climb a slope, then the path leads you steeply downhill through a wildly romantic forest past a magnificent waterfall. At the bottom of the valley in the Tristel, near the Vita Parcours on the banks of the Muota, a generously laid out fireplace awaits you.
