The medium-difficulty bike tour to Gerschnialp mostly leads through the forest and is therefore perfect for hot days. The Gerschnialp Alpine Cheese Dairy offers culinary delights for all tastes.
From Engelberg railway station, the starting point for the Gerschnialp-Trauboden bike tour, you go to the valley station of the TITLIS mountain railway and continue left over the tarred Gerschnistrasse (you must expect factory traffic on the road) in the direction of Untertrübsee. Steadily rising but protected from the sun by the forest, it is heading towards its destination. Once the forest is aligned, there are still a few bends to the fork in the road. Here you turn left towards Gerschnialp and back into the forest. At the top station of the funicular railway, you head towards the mountain restaurant Ritz. Here you can make a stop. The Ritz is known for its seasonal cuisine and grills. If you sit down on the sun terrace with a panoramic view, you run the risk of not wanting to get up again. However, the tour destination has not yet been reached. Approx. 5 kilometres on a natural road are still waiting to be driven off. Back to the valley and to the starting point of the tour, it goes over the same route.
