The Älggialp and in particular the Cairn Trail offer you peaceful relaxation and a wealth of variety. You learn a lot about the area in which the centre of Switzerland finds itself.

The centre point is the start of the varied Cairn Trail, a tour on the Älggiboden, which aims to show the beauty of our nature alongside information. At 15 selected locations, you learn what the centre of Switzerland has to offer. Stroll along the 1.5 km trail at your leisure. There are interesting details about the alp, the flora and fauna, the geography and geology.

Further information

The Älggialp can only be reached on foot or by car.

The information panel at the Älggialp mountain restaurant shows the exact starting point of the theme trail.
