The free sports bus takes you from Engelberg railway station to the Brunni valley station, where you take the cable car to Ristis. The 2.9 km long Riedalp snow shoe trail begins here at the mountain station in an easterly direction. You start on the winter hiking trail "Schneetandliweg" along the edge of the forest to the Ried. From this vantage point the view of the Hahnen is breathtaking. From there it goes up first over an open field then along the forest. Back to the starting point, the trail leads past the game rest zones, parallel to the panorama trail back to the mountain restaurant Ristis. Return to the village by train.
The snowshoe trail can also be walked in the opposite direction.
Safety informationPlease walk along the marked and secured snowshoe paths. The user is responsible for the proposed routes. If you are planning a different route, please refer to the avalanche bulletin, maps and weather forecast.
