Central Switzerland: panoramic snowshoe circular hike
The Scheidegg roud walk can be used as a hiking trail or as a snowshoe trail. The starting and finishing point of the hike is Rigi Burggeist. Along the way you will cover about 100 metres in altitude and the hike takes between 90-120 minutes, depending on your fitness level. The paths are not groomed and will give you a special hiking experience. Snowshoes and sticks can be rented at the Rigi Burggeist mountain inn. You can also get a map for this snowshoe tour at the mountain inn.

Rigi Burggeist, the starting point of this snowshoe hike, can be reached via Goldau with the Kräbel-Rigi Scheidegg cable car. The short walk from Rigi Scheidegg to Rigi Burggeist takes 15 minutes.
Getting there
Via Brunnen - Gersau - Obergschwend.
With the Obergschwend-Rigi Burggeist cable car to Rigi Burggeist.
Parking
There are plenty parking spaces avaliable at the cable car station. Fees apply.
However, we recommend public transport instead of cars: lean back, be stress-free and do something good for the environment.
