Snowshoe Tour Rigi via Chäserenholz (2.8km)
Rigi Kulm - Upper Schwändi - Cheese wood - Rigi Kulm
This snowshoe trail from Rigi Kulm leads you down the valley to Obere Schwändi. On the way back you will pass the alp Chäserenholz, where the alpine farmer will be pleased to serve you a delicious cheese plate.
Central Switzerland: panoramic snowshoe hike
Sign-posted snowshoe trails accompany beginners and inexperienced skiers through the unspoiled alpine snow landscape. From the starting point at Rigi Kulm, beautiful trails of about 1 to 2.5 hours extend through the Chäserenholz area.
Snowshoeing does not require any special technical skills and can be practiced by anyone, even on the prepared winter hiking trails.
The necessary equipment can be rented at the Rigi Kulm Rental Centre and at the Rigi-Sport-Kiosk Rigi Kaltbad.

Rigi Kulm, the starting point of the hike, can be easily reached via Vitznau or Goldau with the cog railway.
Getting there
Vitznau: A4 exit Küssnacht am Rigi, follow the signs to Vitznau
Goldau: A4 exit Goldau, follow the signs to the open air parking lot A4 of RIGI BAHNEN AG
Parking
There are plenty parking spaces avaliable at valley stations. Fees apply.
However, we recommend public transport instead of cars: lean back, be stress-free and do something good for the environment.
